A super interesting graphic from Alex Garcia & Ross Simmons about different ways to distribute content:
Since the graphic can be a little hard to read, below is my written breakdown:
- The 5 primary social platforms & what formats work - Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Facebook, TikTok
- Forums are extremely impactful for those who have niche knowledge - such as engaging within Reddit or Quora and answering questions, linking back to content on your own domain
- If you've spent years developing a niche, you should be sharing content within communities - such as Facebook Groups. I plan to run ads with a freelance brand this year that has a strong presence within Facebook groups & email for my free book Freelance Finances Made Simple.
- Outside of sharing content yourself, you could reach out to larger publications and 'pitch' yourself to get a feature, which leads to more traffic back to your content
✅ Action item: Distribute one piece of content to a different platform this week
